BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – In the completion of a suspended game, the Bridgewater State University field hockey team defeated non-conference foe WPI, 3-1, on Monday evening at Swenson Field.

'The game was suspended due to lightning back on September 3rd with seven minutes remaining in the first half and BSU leading, 2-0.

When the game resumed this evening, senior forward Carissa Vizakis (Bellingham, Mass.) quickly increased the Bears' advantage to 3-0 as she notched her fourth goal of the season with just 2 ½ minutes remaining in the opening stanza.  Classmate Demi Miskiv (Centerville, Mass.) assisted on the marker as she slipped a pass between two defenders to an open Vizakis in front of the net.
