Clark Named NEFC Co-Offensive Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College junior quarterback Steven Clark has been selected as the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in BSC's 45-31 victory at Fitchburg State over the weekend. Clark shares the honor this week with John Demarco of Plymouth State University.

A native of East Falmouth, Massachusetts, Clark rushed for a career-high 165 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 16 carries in the win over the Falcons.  He was also a perfect 4-for-4 passing for 33 yards and another score as the Bears improved to 3-1 on the season and more importantly 2-0 in the NEFC Bogan Division.  Clark averaged 10.3 yards per carry, scored on runs of 18 and 4 yards, and threw for a 6-tard touchdown. His four-yard TD run midway through the fourth quarter capped off the scoring in the game.

On the season, Clark has rushed for 304 yards and 3 touchdowns and has completed 9 of 14 passes for 90 yards and a score.  He is currently tenth in the NEFC in rushing and first among all the conference quarterbacks.
