WALPOLE, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University equestrian team placed fourth in the team standings on Saturday at Mor Linn Farm in Walpole, Massachusetts. Stonehill College hosted the show.

Senior captain Ashley Drake (Suffield, Conn.) rode Quality Boy, a 16-hand bay gelding, in her limit flat class and picked up the blue ribbon in the event. Drake then hopped on Levi, a 15.3-hand bay gelding, for her limit fences class and placed fourth.

Freshman Addison Prada (West Barnstable, Mass.) rode Bob, a 16.3 hand chestnut gelding, in her open fences class and placed second. Prada then hopped on Quality Boy in her open flat class and placed fourth.

Sophomore Emily Desmond (Braintree, Mass.) saddle up on Chief, a 15-hand paint gelding, in her limit flat class and placed second.

Senior captain Jenna Root (Rutland, Mass.) rode Quality Boy in her limit flat class and placed third. Root also hopped on Elsa, 15-hand pinto mare, for her limit fences class and placed fourth.

Freshman Rianne Wyckstrom (Hudson, Mass.) saddled up on Frasier, 16.2-hand bay gelding, in her intermediate fences class and placed third. Wyckstrom also rode Levi in her intermediate flat class and placed fourth.

Senior Samantha Burke (Weymouth, Mass.) hopped on Thisbe, a 16.1 hand gray mare, for her limit fences class and placed third. Burke then rode Nugget, a 15.2 hand mare, for her limit flat class and placed sixth.

Junior Janelle Gibson (Brockton, Mass.) saddled up on Frasier in her novice class and placed fourth.

Freshman Hannah Arsenault (Attleboro, Mass.) jumped on Oscar, a 16.1 hand gray gelding, in her limit flat class and placed fifth.

The BSU equestrian team will close out the fall semester schedule on Sunday morning when the Bears head to the Hillside Meadows Equestrian Center in Grafton, Massachusetts. Boston College is hosting the show.
