HOLYOKE, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Ashley Crosby (Littleton, Mass.) competed on Saturday at the IHSA Zone 1 Championships hosted by Mount Holyoke College at the MHC Equestrian Center.

Crosby rode a difficult course in intermediate flat as she placed fifth in the event while riding Ron, a 16.3 hand bay warmblood gelding.

Crosby was the Bears' first rider to compete at the IHSA Zone 1 Championships since the BSU equestrian team became a varsity program in 2018.
