Equestrian Wraps Up Fall Season at Hillside Meadows

GRAFTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University equestrian team wrapped up the fall portion of the 2021-2022 schedule on Sunday at the Hillside Meadows Equestrian Center in Grafton, Massachusetts. Boston College hosted the show.

Junior Ashley Crosby (Littleton, Mass.) opened the final show of the fall season on Rolli in the open flat class as she placed sixth. Crosby also entered the ring for her open fences class on Johnny and placed fifth in the event.

Senior Katherine Ryan (Mendon, Mass.) rode her intermediate flat class on Magic and posted a sixth place performance. Ryan then competed in the limit fences class and rode Scooby to a third place showing.

Junior Ashley Drake (Suffield, Conn.) made her limit fences debut on Magic and jumped her way to fifth. Drake also rode in the limit flat class on Chance placing sixth in the event.

Sophomore Samantha Burke (Weymouth, Mass.) rode through her limit fences class on Pablo and recorded a third place showing.

Junior captain Jenna Root (Rutland, Mass.) made her limit flat debut on Scooby, galloping through the class to a sixth place finish.

Senior Abby Lucas (Pembroke, Mass.) mounted Bean in her novice flat class, cantering to a sixth place performance.

Senior Claudia Pupo (Medford, Mass.) trotted her way through introductory on Ghetti and posted a third place showing.

The Bears will return to the competition ring in 2022 when the Bears co-host a show with Wheaton College on Saturday, March 12th.
