Tyler Ferdinand joined the Bridgewater State baseball coaching staff in the fall of 2020. Coach Ferdinand is a 2019 graduate of Rivier University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

Tyler played four seasons for the Rivier baseball team for four seasons and captained the squad in 2017 and 2018. A three-time second team All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) selection, Tyler wrapped up his outstanding collegiate career as the Raiders' all-time leader in hits (134), batting average (.383), stolen bases (57) and runs scored (79). He also holds single-season school marks for hits (58), stolen bases (31) and at bats (144). All three marks were set in 2016.

Prior to coaching at Bridgewater State, Tyler served as a volunteer assistant at his alma mater for two seasons (2019, 2020). The Middleboro, Massachusetts resident was also an assistant coach in the Bay State Games in 2020, and was a vounteer assistant for the Wareham Legion baseball team from 2015 to 2020.
