BRIDGEWATER, Mass - The Ninth Annual Crimson Pride Challenge (CPC) has ended and proved to be the most successful fundraising campaign in the history of Bridgewater State University Athletics. The Crimson Pride Challenge is a social media driven giving campaign where all Varsity and Club sports teams compete against each other to raise funds for their specific programs.
This year’s challenge ran from Monday October 23rd through Monday November 13th and was our most successful Challenges to date. The Ninth Annual CPC brought in an impressive $95,380.58 from 1,084 donors in just three weeks.
Overall, the team with the highest per student-athlete total is crowned champion. This year we recognized the top three teams of the Challenge:
- In third place, with a total of $291.57 per student-athlete and $7,289.25 overall…is our Hip Hop team. For their third-place finish, they will receive an extra $1,000!
- In second place, with a total of $606.41 per student-athlete and $9,096.17 overall…is our Women’s Basketball team. For their second-place finish they will receive an extra $2,000!
- In first place…Our Women’s Lacrosse team took home the title, bringing in $638.71 per student-athlete, for a total of $12,135.40! For their first-place finish they will receive an extra $4,000!
