Seventh Annual Crimson Pride Challenge Final Results

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Seventh Annual Crimson Pride Challenge (CPC) has ended and was yet again an extremely successful fundraising campaign for the Bridgewater State University Athletics Program. The Crimson Pride Challenge is a social media driven giving campaign where all Varsity and Club sports teams compete against each other to raise funds for their specific programs.

This year’s challenge ran from Monday October 25th through Monday November 15th and brought in a record setting number of total donors & dollars. The Seventh Annual CPC brought in an impressive $82,595.11 from 1,326 donors in just three weeks.

Overall, the team with the highest per student-athlete total is crowned champion. This year we recognized the top three teams of the Challenge:

  • In third place, with a total of $364.42 per student-athlete and $6,195.17 overall…is our Women’s Basketball team. For their third-place finish, they will receive an extra $1,000!
  • In second place, with a total of $580.46 per student-athlete and $16,252.88 overall…is our Women’s Lacrosse team. For their second-place finish they will receive an extra $2,000!
  • In first place…Our Softball team took home the title for the second year in a row, bringing in $620.29 per student-athlete, for a total of $13,026.06! For their first-place finish they will receive an extra $4,000!

Thank to everyone involved in planning the Seventh Annual Crimson Pride Challenge, and most importantly…THANK YOU TO OUR DONORS! Without our loyal fans of BEAR COUNTRY, none of this would be possible!
