Vincent Hickey

Vincent Hickey was an outstanding quarterback for the Bridgewater State College Football team from 1969-72. During his football career he was named to the New England Football conference (NEFC) All-star team in 1969,1971 and 1972. He was also the Bears' co-captain in 1972. At the time of his induction, Vince still held program marks for most passing yardage in a season (1418 yds), most completions in a game (19), most completions in a season (123) and highest completion percentage for a season and career.

Following his playing career at Bridgewater, Mr. Hickey went on to the Blue Hills Regional High School where he coached football for 33 years. Vin retired from coaching the Warriors at the end of the 2008 school year. He compiled a 212-126-1 record and coached his squads to two Super Bowl appearences highlighted by a Super Bowl Championship in 1984.

Vin was inducted into the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2004.
