Cynthia Lindh Carey

Cynthia Lindh Carey competed for two seasons in cross-country and four seasons in track and field at Bridgewater State. She captained the women's track team in 1984 and 1985. Cindy made her mark in track where as she set BSC records in the long jump (17'8.5"), 200m (25.8), 400m (59.1), and 800m (2:10.69). She also was a member of two record setting relay teams in the 4x100m and 4x800m. As of 2015, Cynthia still holds the program marks in the long jump and the 800.

The 800m was her specialty having won the event at the ECAC Championships in 1984 and 1985 as well as qualifying both seasons for the NCAA Division III Championships. She earned All-American honors by placing 2nd and 4th at NCAA meet.

Cindy, her husband Jay, and three daughters Lauren, Danielle and Stephanie now reside in East Bridgewater, MA where she is a teahing assistant in the East Bridgewater School system.
