An outstanding two-sport athlete, Andrea (Erickson) Crespi was a four-year letter-winner for both the Bridgewater State field hockey and women's lacrosse teams from 1986 to 1990. Andrea tallied 19 goals and 19 assists for the field hockey squad and garnered All-MASCAC honors in each of her last three seasons including first team accolades in 1988. She was a captain her senior year and helped the team make three ECAC Division III Tournament appearances as well as a trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament in 1988. All told, the Bridgewater State field hockey team posted a record of 45-18-8 (.690) during Andrea's career including a 21-4 (.840) mark against MASCAC teams. The Bears captured the MASCAC regular-season crown in both 1987 and 1988. In the sport of women’s lacrosse, Andrea notched 75 goals and 25 assists for 100 career points. A two-time captain and team Most Valuable Player, she set the school single-game record (since equaled) with an impressive ten goals against Babson College on April 25th of 1989. Andrea was also the 1989 recipient of the Martin T. Rizzo Award. Andrea graduated from Bridgewater State in 1990 with a degree in elementary education. She went on to Bristol Community College and passed her licensure to become a registered dental hygienist. Andrea now runs the non-profit Cranberry Country Pony Club which blends her love of athletics, horses and teaching youth. Andrea presently resides in Berkley, Massachusetts with her husband of 27 years, Joe, and three daughters, Briel, Bailey, and Jillian.
