Jenise Madden Named MASCAC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For an impressive sixth time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Jenise Madden has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Madden garnered MASCAC Rookie of the Year and All-Conference honors as she placed fourth this past weekend at the 2016 MASCAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Fitchburg State University at Doyle Community Park in Leominster.

A native of Milford, Massachusetts, Madden covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 19:40 as she was the top rookie harrier at the meet.

Madden helped the Bears finish third overall in the team standings. 

After a week off, the BSU women's cross country team will compete at the New England Division III Championships hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley park on November 12th.
