Rouillard Leads Women's Cross Country at Tri-State Invitational

LINCOLN, R.I. – Senior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) captured the individual title to lead the Bridgewater State University women's cross country team to a second place finish at the Tri-State Invitational hosted by CCRI on Saturday morning in Lincoln, Rhode Island.

Rouillard covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 19:14 as she easily outdistanced the field by more than a minute.

Next across the line for the Bears was freshman Danielle Poto (North Andover, Mass.) who placed third in a time of 20:29.  Classmate Samantha Pinkham (Hingham, Mass.) followed in ninth place (21:12), while junior Taylor Clancy (Braintree, Mass.) and sophomore Elizabeth Moreau (Marshfield, Mass.) finished 17th (22:48) and 18th (23:10), respectively.

Bridgewater finished second to Wheaton College in the team standings followed by Worcester State University in third place, Mitchell College in fourth and Mount Ida College in fifth.

Next Weekend, the Bears will compete at the James Early Invitational hosted by Westfield State University.
