Molly Rouillard Named MASCAC Co-Runner of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the fifth time this season and 11th time over the past two years, Bridgewater State University junior Molly Rouillard has been selected as a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Rouillard shares this week’s honor along with Westfield State freshman Amy Trainque (Fitchburg, Mass.).

Rouillard placed 19th individually for the Bears at the Connecticut College Invitational held on Saturday at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut.  The Dartmouth, Massachusetts native led Bridgewater to a 14th place finish in the team standings as she covered the six-kilometer course in a time of 23:13.

Last year during her rookie campaign of 2010, Rouillard captured MASCAC Runner of the Week honors six times and was named both the conference runner and rookie of the year.

After a week off, Rouillard and her teammates will compete in the MASCAC/Alliance Championships hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, October 29th.
