BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. -- Bridgewater State junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.) took top individual honors at the Seventh Annual Massachusetts Maritime Lt. Travis J. Fuller Women's Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning that was run alongside the Cape Cod Canal on the Academy's campus.

Rouillard, the reigning MASCAC Runner of the Year, completed the three mile course in a time of 18 minutes and 25 seconds as she outdistanced the runner-up, Meaghan Bohigian of UMass Dartmouth, by 26 seconds.

In the team standings, Bridgewater finished in fourth place. UMass won the meet followed by Emerson and Emmanuel College. The Corsairs placed four runners in the top nine.

Senior Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, Mass.) was the next runner across the finish line for the Bears as she placed 14th with a time of 20:33.

Next Saturday, the BSU cross country teams will compete in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
