Rouillard Garners Fourth MASCAC Runner of the Week Honor

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the fourth time this season, Bridgewater State University junior Molly Rouillard has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Rouillard, who hails from Dartmouth, Massachusetts, took the individual crown at the conference championship meet on Saturday at Stanley Park in Westfield. She covered the five kilometer layout in a time of 19:05.05. With her performance, Molly earned both MASCAC Runner and Rookie of the Year honors.

Bridgewater, as a team, finished the event in second place, with teammates junior Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, Mass.) and senior Jessica Eidinger (Sutton, Mass.) joining her in the top three.

Rouillard’s time in the 5K was her third best of the season. Molly’s best mark came at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational when she finished in 24th place with a time of 18:59. Roulliard’s second best time also came at Westfield State during the James Early Invitational, finishing the event in fifth place with a time of 19:05.05.

The BSU cross country teams will head to Worcester State University on Saturday for the New England Alliance Championships.
