BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the second  straight week, Bridgewater State University junior Molly Rouillard has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.  Rouillard earns the honor outright after sharing the award a week ago.

A native of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Rouillard posted the top MASCAC performance at the UMass Dartmouth Buddy Harris Invitational on Saturday with a 24th place finish as she covered the five kilometer layout in a time of 18 minutes and 59 seconds.

Competing in her first season on the cross country team, Rouillard was an outstanding track athlete at Dartmouth High School where she was an Old Colony League All-Star in both indoor and outdoor track as a junior and senior.  In 2008, during her senior season, Rouillard set the school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.7 seconds.

Rouillard and the Bears’ cross country teams will head to the Purple Valley Classic hosted by Williams College on Saturday.  The meet is expected to get underway at 11:30 AM.
