BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University graduate student Jayci Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.), junior Abbi Peterson (Watertown, Mass.) and sophomore Serenity Sands (East Bridgewater, Mass.) will be competing at the 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Peterson and Sands are both making their collegiate debuts at an NCAA Division III Track & Field Championship meet.

Andrews is making her seventh appearance at an NCAA Division III Track & Field Championship meet and fourth at the outdoor championships. A four-time All-American, Andrews is the only Bridgewater State student-athlete to win multiple NCAA titles. She claimed the national title in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, and then capped off her impressive run by capturing top honors in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2019 DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Andrews also garnered All-American accolades with a third place finish in the 400 hurdles at the 2019 outdoor championships and placed second in the 100 hurdles at the 2018 outdoor championships. As a freshman in 2016, Andrews placed 11th in the 400-meter dash at the indoor championships and tenth in the 400 at the outdoor championships. An injury kept her out of both NCAA championship meets during her sophomore year, but Andrews returned to compete at the 2018 indoor championships and finished 17th in the 60 hurdles.
