MEDFORD, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University juniors Alison McDonough (Halifax, Mass.) and Abbi Peterson (Watertown, Mass.) competed on Saturday at the Tufts Final Qualifying Meet held at the Gantcher Center. 

McDonough captured top honors in the 60-meter hurdles with a career-best time of 8.87 seconds in the finals.

With results still coming in from last chance meets from across the country, McDonough currently ranks 17th in all of Division III in the hurdles.

Peterson placed sixth in the high jump with a leap of five feet, 3.25 inches (1.61m). Peterson entered the meet ranked 21st in all of Division III in the high jump with a mark of five feet, 5.25 inches (1.66m) which she recorded at the Wheaton Invitational on January 15th.

The NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships which will take place on Friday, March 11th and Saturday, March 12th at the JDL Fast Track in Greensboro, North Carolina. The top 20 student-athletes in individual events qualify for the national championship meet.

The official list of women's accepted entries for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships will be released on Sunday on ncaa.com.
