McDonough Places 8th in Hurdles at NEICAAA Championships

ROXBURY, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Alison McDonough (Halifax, Mass.) placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles on Saturday at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the Reggie Lewis Center.

McDonough posted a finals time of 9.16 seconds in the hurdles. She was the only Division III student-athlete who competed in the finals of the event. McDonough, who also recorded a preliminary time of 9.11 seconds, currently ranks 26th in all of Division III in the hurdles.

Bridgewater State tied for 19th in the team standings with one point. 

Next weekend, the BSU women's indoor track & field team will compete at the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships held by Wheaton College.
