Olivia Ranck Named Little East Women's Rookie Swimmer of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University sophomore Olivia Ranck has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Rookie Swimmer of the Week.

Ranck posted the top time in three individual events in the Bears' 149-95 win over Gordon College as she was the first to touch the wall in the 50 backstroke (30.34), 100 breaststroke (1:17.01) and 200 individual medley (2:26.11). The Wilbraham, Massachusetts product was also a part of the Bears' 200-medley relay squad which won the event with a time of 2:05.24.

Ranck's time of 36.23 seconds over the first 50 yards of the 100 breaststroke marked a personal best.

The BSU women’s swimming & diving team will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when the Bears entertain Roger Williams University at two o’clock.
