Wilson Headlines Bears' Three Representatives on All-Little East Women's Swimming & Diving Team

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Little East Conference (LEC) formally announced its 2021-2022 women’s swimming & diving award recipients Thursday. Major awards were determined by a vote of the LEC head coaches, while all-conference recognition was determined by individual performances at last week’s LEC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships.

Bridgewater State University Graduate student Alexa Wilson (Centerville, Mass.) was voted the Little East Diver of the Year while the BSU women's swimming & diving team had three different student-athletes garner All-Little East honors. LEC individual and relay champions garnered first team honors on the all-conference squad while second place finishers were named to the second team.

Wilson won the one-meter diving competition at the Little East Championships with a meet record 358.80 points following a runner-up finish on the three-meter board (311.55 pts). She was named to the All-Little East First Team on the one-meter board, and All-Little East Second Team on the three-meter.

Senior Jordyn Maxim (Lakeville, Mass.) and sophomore Olivia Ranck (Wilbraham, Mass.) also garnered All-Little East Second Team honors for Bridgewater State. Maxim placed second at the Little East Championships in the 100 freestyle, while Ranck finished second in both the 100 individual medley and 400 individual medley.
