Michael Caruso Named 2021-2022 Recipient of EMISCA Collegiate Scholastic Award

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University head men's and women's swimming & diving coach Michael Caruso has been named as the 2021-2022 recipient of the Eastern Massachusetts Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (EMISCA) Collegiate Scholastic Award.

The award, established in 2014, is presented annually to a Massachusetts college swimming coach or an individual affiliated with a college in recognition of their support for high school swimming in the state and/or a significant achievement by their program during the current collegiate season.

Coach Caruso has been very supportive of Massachusetts interscholastic swimming during his 11-year tenure with the Bridgewater State swimming & diving programs. He also led the BSU men's team to a first place finish at the inaugural Little East Conference (LEC) Championship meet this past February, while guiding the women's squad to a second place showing at the conference championships.

Caruso will be presented the award at the EMISCA Banquet on Sunday, May 15th at the Natick Elks Club.
