Wilson Leads Women's Swimming & Diving During Day Three of Little East Championships

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team is in second place after day three of the four-day Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Swimming & Diving Championships held at the Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley.

The Bears currently have 513 points at the championship meet as they trail overall leader Keene State College (595 pts.).

Graduate student Alexa Wilson (Centerville, Mass.) captured the Little East title in the one-meter diving competition with a career-best score for an 11-dive event of 358.80 points.

Sophomore Olivia Ranck (Wilbraham, Mass.) placed second in the 400 individual medley with a career-best time of 4:55.54, while freshman Brynn Murray (Chelmsford, Mass.) finished third in the 200 freestyle with a career-best time of 2:06.24.

The BSU foursome of senior Selin Marino (East Greenwich, R.I.), freshmen Brianna Matte (Cumberland, R.I.) and Olivia Pelletier (East Kingston, N.H.), and senior Jordyn Maxim (Lakeville, Mass.) placed third in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 8:45.00.

The four-day championship meet wraps up on Tuesday with events getting underway at 10:00 AM.
