WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team dropped a 128-82 decision to Division II Bentley University on Tuesday evening at the Dana Center Pool.
Junior Hannah Geoffrion (Barnstable, Mass.) recorded the top finish for the Bears (2-6) as she placed second in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 12:37.53.
Graduate student Alexa Wilson (Centerville, Mass.), the reigning Little East Women's Diver of the Week, finished third in the one-meter diving competition with a career-best score of 237.45 points. Wilson has hit the 200-point mark on the one-meter board in each of the Bears' eight meets this season.
Sophomore Olivia Ranck (Wilbraham, Mass.) placed third in both the 200 freestyle (2:09.86) and 200 backstroke (2:22.65) events.
Freshmen Brynn Murray (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Olivia Pelletier (East Kingston, N.H.) added third place showings for the Bears in the 200 butterfly (2:41.36) and 200 breaststroke (3:04.46), respectively.
The BSU foursome of Murray, senior Jordyn Maxim (Lakeville, Mass.), freshman Brianna Matte (Cumberland, R.I.) and sophomore Renee Goodale (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) finished third in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:52.47.
The BSU swimming & diving teams are back in action on Saturday afternoon when the Bears travel to Eastern Connecticut State University for a one o'clock meet with the Warriors.
