The Bears captured top honors in six events.

The 800 freestyle relay squad featuring seniors Jordyn Maxim (Lakeville, Mass.) and Makayla Paquin (North Easton, Mass.), and freshmen Brianna Matte (Cumberland, R.I.) and Brynn Murray (Chelmsford, Mass.) posted a winning time of 9:03.10 to close out the meet.

Maxim added a victory in the 50 freestyle (26.90), while Matte was the first to touch the wall in the 200 freestyle (2:11.16).

Grad student Alexa Wilson (Centerville, Mass.), senior Danielle Vissering (North Andover, Mass.) and sophomore Olivia Ranck (Wilbraham, Mass.) added event wins for the Bears. Wilson placed first in the one-meter diving competition with a score of 204.25 points, while Vissering won the 100 freestyle (1:00.44) and Ranck placed first in the 100 individual medley (1:07.41).

"I'm very proud of both teams today," said head coach Mike Caruso. "Both teams used a balance attack and had very good results."

"We executed our meet plan very well and we really started the dual meet season strong," Caruso added. "We are looking forward to getting back into practice this week and continuing to work on our events."

The Bears will be back in the pool next Saturday afternoon when they host Gordon College at two o'clock.
