MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Bridgewater State University graduate student Trevor Wyong garnered All-New England honors and broke his own school record in the 5,000-meter run on Friday at the Division III New England Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Middlebury College.

Wysong placed seventh in the 5,000 as he posted a time of 14:48.15. The Taunton, Massachusetts product eclipsed his previous school mark of 14:50.18 set earlier this month at the Boston University Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational.

The Bears are tied for 11th place in the meet standings with two team points after three scored events.

The two-day DIII New England Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship meet continues on Saturday.
