ROXBURY, Mass. -- Qualifying members of the Bridgewater State University men's track & field team competed on Saturday at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the Reggie Lewis Center.
Senior Jacob DeAndrade (Taunton, Mass.) placed fourth in the 60-meter dash with a finals time of 6.95 seconds. DeAndrade was the only Division III student-athlete to qualify and compete in the finals.
Sophomore Dimetri Morris (North Andover) placed fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a finals time of 8.44.
Rounding out the Bears' competitors for the day, freshman Chigozie Adigwe (Lowell, Mass.) finished tenth in the 60-meter hurdles with a preliminary time of 8.56 seconds.
Bridgewater State placed 18th in the team standings at the meet with nine points.
Next weekend, the BSU indoor track & field teams will compete at the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships held at Wheaton College.
