BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University junior Chris Anastasiades has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Anastasiades won two individual events and swam a leg on two winning relays to lead the BSU men's swimming & diving team to a 162-42 victory over Gordon College this past weekend. The Wakefield, Massachusetts product placed first in both the 50 breaststroke (28.20) and 100 breaststroke (1:02.40), while the Bears' 200-medley relay squad recorded a winning time of 1:45.51 and the 400 freestyle relay checked in with a meet-best time of 3:23.51.

Anastasiades' 100 time of 49.57 seconds on the opening leg of the 400 freestyle relay marked a personal best.

The BSU men’s swimming & diving team will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when the Bears entertain Roger Williams University at two o’clock.
