WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team dropped a 134-75 decision to Division II Bentley University on Tuesday evening at the Dana Center Pool.
Junior Chris Anastasiades (Wakefield, Mass.) paced the visiting Bears (2-4) as he captured top honors in the 200 individual medley with a career-best time of 2:02.95.
Senior Joshua Hernandez (Cranston, R.I.), the reigning Little East Men's Swimmer of the Week, placed third in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.52 seconds.
Junior Luc Durand (Marblehead, Mass.) and freshman Chase Simao (Stonington, Conn.) also added third place showings for the Bears. Durand posted a career-best time of 2:10.95 in the 200 backstroke, while Simao recorded a time of 2:21.19 in the 200 breaststroke.
The BSU swimming & diving teams are back in action on Saturday afternoon when the Bears travel to Eastern Connecticut State University for a one o'clock meet with the Warriors.
