Men's Soccer

Dana Powers joined the Bridgewater State University soccer coaching staffs in the summer of 2020. Coach Powers is a 2006 graduate of Bridgewater State where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Edication with a concentration in Exercise Physioiogy. Dana also completed his Post-Baccalaureate Initial Licensure Program in Physical Education in 2011 and earned a Master of Science degree in Physical Education from BSU in 2016.

Along with coaching at Bridgewater State, Dana has served as a head youth development coach for the Liverpool International Academy Massachusetts since August of 2018. He was also an assistant coach at Plymouth North High School from 2015 to 2020. In the summer of 2019, Dana voiunteered with the BSU men's soccer coaching staff as he assisted with the team fitness testing and led multiple training sessions for the goalkeepers.

While attending Bridgewater State as an undergrad, Dana competed on both the men's indoor and outdoor track & field teams as well as the men's cross country team from 2002 to 2006.

Dana currently holds United Soccer Coaches licences and/or diplomas for Foundations of Coaching, Level 1 Goalkeeping, 11v11 Formation and Systems of Play, and Sport Psychology and Individual Mental Skills.
