11 Bears Named to NFHCA National Academic Squad

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Eleven members of the Bridgewater State University field hockey team have been selected to the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad.

The NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach or institution.

Seniors Victoria Camara (Westport, Mass.), Aidan Ryan (Uxbridge, Mass.) and Katie Swart (Bridgewater, Mass.); juniors Emma Schoonover (Somerset, Mass.), Olivia Sheehan (Hanson, Mass.) and Bailey Turner (Dedham, Mass.); sophomores Zoe Bergeron (Blackstone, Mass.), Carolyn Greendale (Natick, Mass.), Charlotte McElroy (Carver, Mass.) and Hannah Rolfe (Easton, Mass.); and freshman Hailey McFall (Wind Gap, Pa.) all garnered the honor for Bridgewater State.

All told, over 2,300 student-athletes from 161 Division III institutions earned recognition on the 2021 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. Johns Hopkins University led all institutions with the most National Academic Squad selections, placing 31 student-athletes on the list.
