Stephen Femino

Stephen Femino anchored the offensive line for the Bridgewater State football team from 1997 to 1999. He was an NEFC All-Conference selection in 1998 and again in 1999, and was also an ECAC All-Star in 1999. Femino was named captain in 1998 and 1999, and helped the team fashion a school record-setting 15-game winning streak over the two seasons.

In 1999, Femino and his fellow linemen paved the way for one of BSC's most explosive offenses.  That season, the Bears' set program records for total offense (4,958 yds.), passing yards (2,075 yds.), points scored (468), points-per-game (42.5) and wins (10). As a result, the football team posted a 10-0 regular season record and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in program history.

Femino went on to play eight successful years with the Middleboro Cobras of the Eastern Football League (EFC).  During that period, Middleboro captured five EFL titles, including four straight from 2005 to 2008.

Steve was an assistant on the Bears' football coaching staff for four seasons (2000, 2005-2007).  He also served as the head coach at his high school alma mater Falmouth (2010-2013) as well as Mashpee High School (2003-2004).

Steve majored in Physical Education at Bridgewater State with a concentration in teaching. He also earned a Masters of Education from Fitchburg State College in 2007.  Steve presently resides in Middleboro, Mass. with his wife, Catherine, and two children, Christina and Camille.
