Ripp Charters

Ripp Charters had an outstanding football career at Bridgewater State from 1987-90. At the time of his induction, Ripp (quarterback/place-kicker) was the fourth all-time leading scorer in New England Division III with 284 points. In 1989 Ripp led the Bears to the NEFC Championship (9-1) and their first appearance in the ECAC championships vs Alfred. He was BSC Football's MVP for 1990-91 and the BSC Athlete of the Year in 1991.

In his four seasons on the Bears' football team, Ripp threw for 2,296 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also rushed for 23 touchdowns, booted 17 field goals and notched 93 PATs.

A lifelong resident of Winchendon, Massachusetts, Ripp is presently a Physical Education/Health Teacher at Gardner High School where he is also the head track & field coach.
