Herbert Lynch

Herbert Lynch was a hard hitting linebacker for the Bridgewater State football team from 1966-69. A 4-year starter, Lynch called defensive signals each year. In 1969 he was the Bears co-captain. Lynch was named to the New England Football Conference All Conference team in 1966, 1967 and 1968. In the spring, he was also a standout golfer for the BSC golf team (1969-70).

Away from the playing field, Herb was a successful student, having won the Men's Athletic Association Award and the Fay Athletic Scholarship Award for his academic prowess. Lynch was also the recipient of the Men's Athletic Association Award and the Fay Athletic Scholarship Award for athletic and academic achievement.

Lynch attended Suffolk University Law School graduating cum laude in 1975. He received a Trustee's Scholarship from the Law School. Now a prominent attorney and partner for the law firm of Sullivan and Lynch. Herb has been a loyal supporter of the BSC football program over the years. He and his wife Susan and their two daughters, Courtney and Meghan, reside in North Andover, Mass
