Dr. Thomas Knudson
Dr. Thomas Knudson

Dr. Thomas Knudson was a fixture at Bridgewater State College from 1966 up until his retirement in May, 1998. A professor in the Movement Arts, Health Promotion and Leisure studies Department, Tom also coached men's basketball for 14 seasons at BSC from 1966 until 1980. A the time of his induction, he had the most career wins for a head coach in the men's basketball program which dates back 1905-06 with 145. His best season came in 1974-75 with a 21-6 record.

Off the basketball court Dr. Knudson was active in International Studies during his tenure at BSC. He made numerous trips to England, India, China, Vietnam, Korea and Russia to both teach physical education and athletics. He resided in Bridgewater, Mass. with his wife, Daphne.

Dr. Knudson passed away in May of 2016.
