Debra Carreiro

Debra Carreiro was a four-year member of the BSC softball team from 1983-86. She was a two-time NSCA All-American in 1984-85 at third base and had a lifetime batting average of .332. Deb remained at BSC as an assistant softball coach from 1987-91. She then became the head coach in 1992 and led the Lady Bears (18-12) to another MASCAC title and into the NCAA Regional Championships.

In 1993 she became the full-time head softball coach at Brown University a position she held until 1998. Brown won the Ivy League in 1997 and made an NCAA appearance the same season. After leaving Brown, she returned to Bridgewater State as an assistant softball coach for 2 seasons.

Deb is a native of Attleboro, MA where she graduated from Attleboro High School.
