Andy Macaione

Andy Macaione played football for Bridgewater State from 1997 to 2000 and is arguably one of the greatest wide receivers ever to play at the school. At the time of his induction, Andy was the Bears' all-time leading receiver with 2,642 yards, 120 catches and 37 touchdowns. He also held the single-season marks for yards (969) and touchdowns (15), as well as the single-game records for yards (221) and tochdowns (4). The records for career touchdown catches and receiving yards in a game still stand today. One of the most versatile players for the Bears, Andy also spent time playing defensive back and kicking. He finished his career third all-time in scoring at BSC with 262 points (39 touchdowns and 28 PATs). In 1999, he helped lead the Bears to a 10-0 regular season mark as well as the first of back-to-back NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. The 1999 team broke the school marks for points scored in a season (468), and total offense (4,958). After graduating in 2001, he spent time playing Arena Football for both the Chicago Rush (2001) and the Mohegan Wolves (2002). He currently lives in Gilmanton, New Hampshire with his wife, Elizabeth, and son, Michael.
