DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Junior Jenise Madden (Milford, Mass.) placed 17th out of a field of 318 runners to lead the Bridgewater State University women's cross country team at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Madden completed the five-kilometer course in a time of 19:06.96. Senior Emily Bryson of Brandeis University won the meet with a time of 17:54.59.

The Bears finished 30th in the team standings. Brandeis captured the team title followed by Trinity College in second place and Merrimack in third.

Senior Emily Guyon (Hopedale, Mass.) was the next Bear to cross the finish line as she placed 94th overall with a time of 20:23.82.

After a weekend off, the Bears will compete at the Tri-State Invitational hosted by CCRI on Saturday, September 29th.
