Andrews Advances to Finals of 100-Meter Hurdles at NCAA Championships

LA CROSSE, Wisc. -- Bridgewater State University junior Jayci Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.) qualified for the finals of the 100-meter hurdles on Friday afternoon at the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Andrews placed eighth in the preliminaries with a time of 14.68 seconds. The top nine hurdlers advanced to Saturday's final which is slated to get underway at approximately 2:00 PM (EDT). Andrews was seeded sixth in the 100 hurdles with a school-record and qualifying time of 14.27 seconds.

BSU junior Kira Gilbreath (West Haven, Utah) finished 22nd in the shot put with a distance of 40 feet, 4.25 inches (12.30m). She entered the championships seeded 16th in the shot with a school-record and qualifying mark of 44 feet, 10.25 inches (13.67m).
