Women's Swimming & Diving Drops 193-47 Decision to Division II Bentley

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team hosted a dual meet against Division II Bentley University on Wednesday evening at the Dr. Mary Jo Moriarty Pool.

The Bears dropped a 193-47 decision to the visiting Falcons.

Seniors Mackenzie Coogan (Assonet, Mass.), Megan Bonney (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) and Adi Tobias (North Attleboro, Mass.) each placed second in their respective events to pace the Bears.

Coogan posted a time of 26.23 seconds in the 50 freestyle, while Bonney recorded a time of 57.86 seconds in the 100 freestyle. Tobias competed in the 100 breaststroke and touched the wall in 1:17.89.

The Bears (4-6) are off until Saturday, February 1st (2:00 PM) when they welcome Babson College to Moriarty Pool. Senior Day festivities will also be held as the Bears will honor seven student-athletes who will be competing in their final home meet.
