NORTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team competed on Wednesday evening at a dual meet hosted by Wheaton College at the Balfour Natatorium.
The host Lyons won the meet by a score of 158-70 as they posted first-place performances in 12 of the 13 events.
BSU senior Mackenzie Coogan (Assonet, Mass.) posted a time of 55.64 seconds to capture top honors in the 100 freestyle. Coogan was just 8/10 of a second off Lindsay Devereaux's school record time of 54.84 seconds.
Coogan also placed second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:03.13.
Junior Allison Hunt (Norton, Mass.) added a second place showing in both the 200 individual medley (2:24.69) and 500 freestyle (5:44.62) for the Bears, while senior Alexa Wilson (Centerville, Mass.) finished second in the one-meter diving competition (180.23 pts.).
The Bears travel to Clark University on Saturday afternoon for a one o'clock meet with the Cougars.
