Nolan, Souza, Coogan, Hunt Set 800 Freestyle Relay Mark at NEISDA Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University seniors Haley Nolan (Lowell, Mass.) and Danielle Souza (Mansfield, Mass.), junior Mackenzie Coogan (Assonet, Mass.) and sophomore Allison Hunt (Norton, Mass.) broke the school record in the 800 freestyle relay on Thursday evening during day one of the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships held at MIT.

Nolan, Souza, Coogan and Hunt posted a time of 8:11.40 to place sixth in the event at the championship meet. The foursome eclipsed the previous BSU women's program mark of 8:13.71 set last season also at the NEISDA Championships.

The four-day NEISDA championship meet continues on Friday with preliminary events getting underway at 10:00 AM and finals at 6:00 PM. Diving will take place at 2:30 PM.
