Alana Vincent Named MASCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior forward Alana Vincent has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) GEICO Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.  GEICO is the proud sponsor of the MASCAC weekly awards program.

Vincent scored three goals in a 1-0-1 week for the Bears last week. The Taunton, Massachusetts product notched the game-tying goal in a 1-1 double overtime draw with MASCAC rival Westfield State University. She also netted a pair of markers in a 5-2 non-conference win over Wentworth.

Through 12 games this season, Vincent has scored seven goals to go along with one assist for 15 points. She has already set career highs in both goals and scoring.

Vincent is currently tied for second in the MASCAC in goals and is tied for fifth among the conference leaders in points.

In 39 games over three seasons at Bridgewater State, Vincent has amassed 17 goals and six assists for 40 points. Four of her 17 goals have been game-winners.

The BSU women’s soccer team is presently 6-4-2 on the season and 3-1-1 in the MASCAC. The Bears travel to Keene State College on Wednesday evening for a six o’clock non-conference game with the Owls.
