BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman attack Jacqueline DeLorey has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) GEICO Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week. GEICO is the proud sponsor of the MASCAC weekly awards program.

DeLorey scored a pair of goals, including the first of her collegiate career, in the Bears’ 15-5 season-opening win over Mount Holyoke College last week. The Westwood, Massachusetts native also added two ground balls, a draw control and a caused turnover in the victory over the Lyons.

The BSU women’s lacrosse team is currently 1-0 on the young season. The Bears host the University of New England on Saturday afternoon at one.
