BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University senior Trevor Wysong has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Wysong placed seventh out of a field of 257 runners last weekend at the 47th Annual UMass Dartmouth Invitational. The Taunton, Massachusetts product completed the eight-kilometer course in a time of 25:29.77 as he helped the Bears post an eighth-place finish in the team standings.

The MASCAC Runner of the Week accolade marks the ninth of Wysong’s career as he also earned the honor six times last season and once in 2017. Wysong was also the conference Runner of the Year in 2018 and qualified for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.

Wysong and the BSU men’s cross country team will be back in action on Saturday (Sept. 28) when the Bears compete at the Franklin Pierce Invitational held at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Contoocook, New Hampshire.
