Men's Swimming & Diving Falls to Wheaton, 145-92

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University men's swimming and diving team competed against visiting Wheaton College in a dual meet on Wednesday evening at the Moriarty Pool.

The visiting Lyons won the meet by a score of 145-92. Wheaton improves to 1-3 on the season with the win, while the host Bears fall to 1-2.

Junior Giulian Santos (Framingham, Mass.) won a pair of events to pace Bridgewater State. Santos captured top honors in the 50 freestyle with a season-best time of 22.35 seconds. Santos also placed first in the 100 freestyle with a season-best time of 49.58 seconds.

The Bears won both diving events as senior Alexander Belinsky (Norton, Mass.) posted a season-best score of 213.35 points on the one-meter board, while junior Joseph Capella (New Bedford, Mass.) notched a score of 149.55 points on the three-meter.

Junior Dylon Willis (Attleboro, Mass.) rounded out the Bears' event winners as he was the first to touch the wall in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.22).

Bridgewater State is back in the pool on Saturday afternoon as the Bears entertain Clark University at two.
