Men's Soccer

John Amaral joined the Bears' men's soccer coaching staff in the summer of 2022. John is a 1994 graduate of Bridgewater State where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in social work.

Recently retired, John worked in the Plymouth Public School system from 1998 to 2022. He also served as a social worker for the Department of Social Services from 1994 to 1998.

Prior to joining the Bears, John spent one season as the boys junior varsity coach at Middleboro High School in 2021. He served as the head girls soccer coach at Middleboro from 2011 to 2017 and coached three seasons (1998-2000) of boys soccer at Plymouth South Middle School. John also coached at the youth soccer level in Middleboro from 2002 to 2010.

A lifelong soccer player, John competed at Stoughton High School and played semi-professionally in the L.A.S.A League. He also competed in the Rhode Island Soccer League (over 30/40) for the Taunton Eagles Club and Middleboro Soccer Club.

John presently resides in Middleboro.
