Michael Bruemmel Jr. joined the Bridgewater State baseball coaching staff in the summer of 2018. Michael is a 2017 graduate of Wheaton College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Analytics and Media Management.

Bruemmel was a four-year member of the Wheaton baseball team as he pitched for the Lyons from 2014 to 2017. Michael earned All-New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) honors as a freshman in 2014. He was also named the tournament MVP of the Mid-Atlantic Regional in 2017 as he helped the Lyons advance to the Division III College World Series.

In 37 career appearances on the mound for Wheaton, including 36 starts, Michael posted a record of 17-12 with a 3.66 earned run average and 172 strikeouts in 218.2 innings of work.

A native of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Michael has worked for East Coast Eagles Baseball as a coach and business and facility operator since 2013.
