Kayla Baril Named to All-MASCAC Volleyball Team

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior outside hitter Kayla Baril has been named as a second team selection on the 2018 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball All-Conference Team.

Baril is making her first appearance on the All-MASCAC Team.

In 21 matches this season, Baril recorded a team-best 151 kills and 32 aces to go along with 165 digs and 15 blocks (four solo). The Seekonk, Massachusetts product currently ranks seventh in the MASCAC in both points per set (2.8) and aces per set (.46). She is also ninth among the conference leaders in kills per set (2.26) and tenth in total kills (151).

In 50 matches over two seasons with the Bears, Baril amassed 377 kills, 61 aces, 382 digs, and 31 blocks (9 solo).

The BSU volleyball team wrapped up the 2018 campaign with an overall record of 5-16. Seeded fifth in the MASCAC Tournament with a 4-3 conference mark, the Bears dropped a 3-1 decision to #4 Framingham in the tournament quarterfinal round.
